If you allow browser notifications, DeskRhythm uses them only to signal when it is time to switch phase.

Analytics

My Next Studio is the controller for DeskRhythm. We use OpenPanel Analytics as our analytics processor to understand how the web app is used and improve it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in measuring our own service with proportionate, cookieless product-interaction analytics.

OpenPanel records a screen_view on the first page load and each in-app route change, including the page address or path and title. It records a link_out for every outbound link click, including the destination address and visible link text. DeskRhythm also sends walking_pad_session_started with day_key (the local date of the session) and locale (the interface language); beta_cta_clicked with surface (landing-banner or app-hero); and launch_video_clicked with surface (app-preview). The request can also include the referrer and standard browser, device, operating-system, and session information. We do not send your locally stored workday history or settings as analytics properties.

Cloudflare Pages hosts the site and processes the connection needed to serve each page. Like any HTTPS service, OpenPanel receives the request IP address and other technical metadata when analytics is on. It uses the IP address transiently for coarse location and counts a unique web visitor server-side with a daily rotating cryptographic hash derived from the IP address, user agent, and project id; the raw IP address is then discarded. The resulting visitor and session records are pseudonymous, not linked to a DeskRhythm account, and are not used for cross-site advertising. Analytics uses no cookies and does not use DeskRhythm's browser storage to identify a visitor. The browser stores only your analytics objection preference if you turn analytics off.

Analytics events are retained while My Next Studio's OpenPanel account is active; OpenPanel currently applies no fixed maximum retention period. OpenPanel deletes account data within 30 days after account termination unless law requires longer retention. Analytics is stored primarily in Germany with EU backups. Public-endpoint traffic may be handled by Cloudflare edge infrastructure outside the EU/EEA; those limited transfers are covered by safeguards including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

You can object under Article 21 GDPR by turning Share web analytics off below. The choice is saved in this browser; when it is off, OpenPanel is not loaded on later page visits and DeskRhythm sends no further custom analytics events. You may also contact [email protected] to exercise your rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, or objection. You can complain to your local data protection authority; in Sweden, this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). If accounts or additional external services are introduced later, this page will be updated clearly.

Launch video

The launch video on /app is a click-to-load YouTube embed. It contacts YouTube only after you press play, when your IP address is sent to Google.

DeskRhythm for iPhone

On iPhone, your DeskRhythm history is stored on your device — not on DeskRhythm's servers.
