The rhythm

DeskRhythm works in a loop: sit for a while, stand for a while, then take a short burst of movement — a walk, a stretch, or a few exercises — before sitting again. You set how long each phase lasts, and the app keeps the rotation going through the day. It's a rhythm to settle into, not a target to hit: the point is a workday that keeps moving, not a score.

Starting and running a session

You start a session from the dashboard — the app's home screen, where the current phase and a timer show what you're doing now and how long is left. When a phase ends, DeskRhythm offers a quiet prompt to change posture or move; you can take it or skip it. The prompt waits for you rather than nagging — if now isn't the moment, the rhythm picks up when you're ready.

The balance ring

As the day goes on, the balance ring fills in to show how your time has split across sitting, standing, and moving. It's a calm read on the shape of your day so far — not a goal to complete or a streak to keep. A day that leans one way is just information; you can let the next few phases even it out, or not.

Ending the workday

When you're done for the day, you end the workday from the dashboard. DeskRhythm stops the rotation and closes out the day's balance, ready to start fresh next time. There's nothing to log and nothing to lose by stopping — the rhythm is there when you come back.
